RIP: George Carlin - Damn, that guy’s funny..
Most people in North America know this guy for being one of the greatest comedians of all time.
What I liked about his work: he challenged you to use your own mind, test your thoughts and question your opinions and most of all, he wanted you to take a hard and focused look at Authority. Just by using words and logic.
If I had kids, they’d be put in front of a screen to watch Carlin. And I’d be satisfied only when they had the guts to turn off the screen to challenge my authority and use logical arguments while doing so..
Thank you, George.

EDIT (JUL01-2008): It seems that Youtube’s trying to protect copyright owners even when it’s in honor of said copyright owner. Fair enough. I have to abide by whatever rules are set by Youtube.
Fuck Youtube.

Here’s a couple of great quotes:
- The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”
- Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?
- I don`t have pet peeves, I have major psychotic fucking hatreds!

Richard Pryor (1940-2005) - “You have to have lived some life. You’ve got to have paid some dues..”
Well, it’s always sad to see a clown pass away.. But Richard Pryor was never a clown or just a comedian. He kinda resembled most of us in the way we screw up things and he kinda shows most of us the many ways you can enjoy that struggle called Life In General.
Well I remember, waaayyy back when I was an 11-year old, I caught a peek of his stand-up show on TV. I was lucky, because my dad didn’t notice me catching the show and because it was one of the most harmless and clean parts of the show - the hunting sketch, remember? Well, I sure as hell did!
The list is kinda endless: Mudbone, SuperNigga, etc. But my favorite sketch is the one with Chevie Chase - the job interview. Heheh.. just thinking about it.. while typing this.. whahahaha.. shit, it hurts..

Thank you, Mister Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor III
