NY2005 - Fourth Day - 9 (Bryant Park - Tropical Music Festival)

So after a very busy day, doing the Central Park and MoMA and doing quite some walking around the city, I wound up at my favorite place in NY - Bryant Park. Excellent place!
Just sitting there relaxing, minding my own business.. Then I saw this stage with all those people sitting and waiting in composed but eager anticipation. Thought it’d be interesting to see what was gonna happen especially when I noticed that 90% of the public was black/hispanic: “Aha!!!! A Latin Thing Is Coming!!”. Great evening, man!

With dance there’s this rule that you never know for sure how skillful someone is at the craft until (s)he’s struts the Stuff.. Believe me, the girl was impressed!

When they were finished dancing, almost half the crowd stood up to applaud Compai. Gave me goose bumps.. I wish I was so nimble when I reach his age, better start excercising, I guess..
