Movie: Tatsumi (Eric Khoo, Japan, 2011, 98 min.) imdb link

Date: Jan 29, 2012

Rating: ★★★★★
(everything I love about Japanese animation)

Plot: A documentary about Japanese manga artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi who started a different and more serious form of manga for adults. The movie shows both parts of the artist’s past as well as some of his stories.

Cast: Nothing special

Visuals: Great animation, almost European style, but more vibrant and more human.

Conclusion: Yeah, exactly what I like: great stories, an insight into the creative process and, of course, animation. Full marks!
