(Political drama with Too Much Drama )
Plot: A playwright in Iran tries to confront a creative crisis while political clashes erupt during her country’s 2009 election.
Cast: Cast was fine, except the main character, Ava. Boy, did she put on the Drama.
Visuals: Fine, nothing special.
Conclusion:I was fascinated by the youth (counter)culture. It’s something that really grabs my attention – how do you survive in a repressive culture? Is everything a Fight/Struggle?
Previous Iranian movies with this great theme: Persepolis (IFFR 2008) and Offside (IFFR 2007).
